Jenny Løvlie
Jenny Løvlie (Ekkerøy, Norway) is a prominent Norwegian illustrator based in Cardiff, United Kingdom. Graduated in Illustration and Animation from Kingston University in 2014, her style is inspired by Scandinavian landscapes, folklore, and the connection between humans and nature. Her work is characterized by the use of vibrant colors, textures, and shapes that capture the attention of readers of all ages. In 2019, she received the Waterstones Children's Book Prize in the Illustrated Book category for The Girls, in collaboration with Lauren Ace.
Among her most notable works are Where Agnes Lives (Allá on viu l'Agnes, 2021), with Marit Larsen; Friends (The Girls, 2018) and its sequel The Boys (The Boys, 2021), both with Lauren Ace; A Dress with Pockets (2022) with Lily Murray; and Princesses Break Free (2022) with Timothy Knapman. Her work mainly covers the genre of children's picture book, addressing themes such as friendship, identity, and freedom with a unique sensitivity.
