Ed Emberley(Massachusetts, USA, 1931) is an American illustrator and writer, known for his over eighty children's books, especially for his popular guides that teach drawing with simple techniques. He graduated in Fine Arts in Boston, and has been awarded prestigious prizes such as the Caldecott Medal and the Lewis Carroll Shelf Award. His most notable works are Go Away, Big Green Monster!(2007), Goodnight, Little Green Monster(2013), and Sad Monster, Glad Monster(2009)
