Suite francesa describe el éxodo que en junio de 1940 sumió a muchas familias francesas en un terrible caos. Desde el pueblo de Issy-l'Évêque, Irène Némirovsky rastrea los pequeños actos de cobardía cotidianos y los frágiles impulsos de solidaridad de una población angustiada. Irène Némirovsky (Kiev, February 11, 1903-Auschwitz concentration camp, August 17, 1942) was a writer born in the Russian Empire who lived in France from her youth and wrote in French. She was deported to Germany under racial laws due to her Jewish origin, although she had converted to Catholicism in 1939, and died in Auschwitz at the age of 39.
