Some of the positions he takes in this book may seem somewhat controversial from the perspective of most readers today, but it should be considered that the study of prophecy was not as fully developed as it is in the twenty-first century. Even now, honest scholars often reach different conclusions in the passages of Revelation and Daniel, and that after more than a century of earnest scriptural study. Watson did not have such an advantage, but forged his way through, mostly on his own. But on the subject of a holy heart, he insists on its absolute necessity for a soul to confidently look forward to the Second Coming and the Millennium.
