Mick Herron is a British writer born in Newcastle on July 11, 1963. He studied English at Balliol College, Oxford and has worked as an editor and fiction writer. He is known for his spy novels, especially the "Slough House" series, which has been adapted into a television series on Apple TV+ with Gary Oldman in the lead role. Among his most notable works are "Down Cemetery Road" (2003), "Reconstructing Amelia" (2013), and "The Secret Hours" (2022). The "Slough House" series includes titles such as "Dead Lions" (2013), "Real Tigers" (2016), and "Spook Street" (2017). Herron has received several awards, including the CWA Gold Dagger for "Dead Lions".
