Paul Foster Case (1884–1954) was an influential American occultist and writer, known for his contributions to the study of tarot, Kabbalah, and alchemy within the Western Mystery Tradition. He founded the Builders of the Adytum (B.O.T.A.), an esoteric school that remains active and offers correspondence teachings on these disciplines. Case was also a member of the Alpha et Omega order, successor to the Golden Dawn, before establishing his own school

Among his most notable works are The True and Invisible Rosicrucian Order (1927), The Book of Tokens (1931), and The Tarot: A Key to the Wisdom of the Ages (1947). These publications, belonging to the esoteric genre, have been fundamental in the dissemination of tarot and Kabbalah as tools for spiritual development. His legacy endures in the esoteric community and in the teachings of B.O.T.A.
