She is the author of five novels and a short story book, Little Red Riding Hood Eats the Wolf. Dust Collectors of Rare Kinds won the La Mar de Letras Novel Award in Spain. The Bitch, translated into twenty languages, was on the long list for the Dublin Literary Award, was a finalist for the National Novel Award and the National Book Award in the United States, and won the Colombian Narrative Library Award, an English PEN Translates Award, and the LiBeraturpreis in Germany. The Abysses won the 2021 Alfaguara Novel Prize and is being translated into multiple languages. She is the editor of the Library of Colombian Women Writers, a project of the Ministry of Culture to rescue and promote women's literature.
