Maitena Inés Burundarena Streb, known artistically as Maitena, is a prominent Argentine cartoonist and scriptwriter born in Buenos Aires in 1962. Of Basque and Polish descent, she moved to Uruguay in her youth, where she began to develop her passion for drawing and illustration.
