Synopsis "Making It. 1968"

Hand made book of poems from 1968. The birth of my career as a "performance" poet is in Making It and it's in color. Enjoy this book! "He who laughs lasts." - lg

The original book of Making It was damaged, but I have repaired it and this is an accurate publication of it, plus elucidation of my first event poems. It is my favorite self-fabricated book of many! The pages of this '68 "book" are reproduced, a one-only-book. The original was in a box attacked by bookworms, my fault for leaving the box of 60's folders on a North room floor! I fastidiously cut out insect damage of page edges and repaired pages by extending them out to where their edge should be. In doing this I found I greatly value this 1968 creative work.

Making It: Accordion fold love poem, dangling poem, shuffle poem, shape poem, event poems (early), origin of poetry audience participation poem, performer of narrative with audience reading poem, six directions for all walls of a room poem, manuscript poems, altogether, some of the most treasured things of my poet life revealed in color. Larry Goodell, Placitas, New Mexico.
