I was born in Aguilar de Campos (Valladolid), in 1964, but when I was just six months old, they took me to Madrid. I grew up in the Carabanchel neighborhood, where I played and read, where I made a few friends, where I learned to live. I studied Teaching, although I never worked as a teacher. I have participated in several literary creation workshops. As a result of this, I dared to write and thus, in 2001, I was awarded the XVII Jaén Prize for Children and Youth Literature with the youth novel La leyenda de Rostroazulado, which was later published by Alfaguara.
