Triunfo Arciniegas, born in Málaga, Santander, Colombia, in 1957, is a prominent Colombian writer, playwright, illustrator, and photographer. He holds a Master's degree in Literature from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and a Specialist degree in Translation from the University of Pamplona. Throughout his career, he has ventured into various professions, from blacksmith to university professor, ultimately dedicating himself to writing and visual arts.
Among his most notable works are "Las batallas de Rosalino" (1989), which earned him the Enka Prize for Children's Literature, "La muchacha de Transilvania" (1993), awarded the National Literature Prize by Colcultura, and "Mujeres muertas de amor" (2008). His prolific output includes over 50 titles aimed at children and young adults, recognized for his contribution to children's and youth literature in Colombia and Latin America.
