Sergio Ruzzier, nacido en Milán en 1966, es un autor e ilustrador italiano-estadounidense dedicado principalmente a la literatura infantil ilustrada. Empezó su carrera profesional en 1986 como ilustrador en Italia y, en 1995, se trasladó a Nueva York donde trabajó para prestigiosas publicaciones internacionales, fortaleciendo su estilo personal.

Su obra destaca por series como Fox & Chick, que se ha convertido en un referente para primeros lectores por su combinación de humor, amistad y reflexión. Ruzzier fue seleccionado en 2011 para la prestigiosa Sendak Fellowship, lo cual consolidó su posición en el mundo de la ilustración infantil.
