Synopsis "El10"

ELIO: It is the far distant future. Mankind has moved out into the universe and spread far and wide. Having survived an interstellar war for control of the vast resources of space, people finally settled down to a peacetime balance where weapons on ships have been banned. It is a time of prosperity and exploration. A team of archeologists come across an abandoned space station floating in the void. Its trajectory will take it into the range of our colonies so it must be diverted or destroyed. But something aboard that space station surprises everyone. A small maintenance robot is recovered and it is not long before they begin to realize that it is also a surveillance robot with a vast memory of all things human. It is a remarkable once-in-a-lifetime find for an archeological team. But ELIO also has information on weapons and defense systems for spacecraft, technology long since banned. Who will control the sensitive data? Normally, this would be an easy choice, but ELIO is not just a robot, he is alive. His request to become crew take all of the humans by surprise. Can the crew protect their newest crewmember from the corporate people that commissioned this journey? Or will illegal weapons fall into the wrong hands? This fight is for all of humanity and one little robot holds the key.
