Gaelen Foley is an American writer born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, known for her historical romance novels set mainly in Regency England. She graduated in English Literature from the State University of New York at Fredonia. Before achieving literary success, she worked as a waitress while writing during the day, an effort that culminated with the publication of her first novel in 1998
Among her most notable works is "The Pirate Prince" (1998), which earned her the Romantic Times award for Best First Historical Novel. Another notable work is "Heart of Fire" (2002), part of the Knight saga. Additionally, "My Wicked Marquess" (2010) starts the Inferno Club series. These novels, which combine romance and adventure, have established Foley as a prominent author in the genre of historical romantic fiction.
