Roberto Fontanarrosa (Rosario, 1944–2007), known as "El Negro", was an Argentine cartoonist, writer, and illustrator. His career began in the 60s in magazines like Boom and Satiricón, and later in the newspaper Clarín. He created iconic characters such as Inodoro Pereyra and Boogie, the Oily, who became icons of Argentine comics. His style combined humor, social critique, and a deep connection with popular culture.

Among his most notable works are El mundo ha vivido equivocado (1982), No sé si he sido claro (1986), and Puro fútbol (2000), reflecting his passion for football and everyday life. He also wrote novels like Best Seller (1981) and El área 18 (1982). He received awards such as the Konex Platinum Award in 1994 and the Domingo Faustino Sarmiento Honor Mention in 2006. In his honor, November 26 is celebrated in Argentina as National Humorist Day.
